Meet the Team
Brett Markinson, Founder & Chairman
Brett is a distinguished serial entrepreneur who has founded over 40 businesses over 35 years, focusing on leveraging disruptive technology in DeFi, real estate, consumer finance, and enterprise software.
His ventures have achieved success multiple times, including Hautelook.com and Lowermybills.com, for which he received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award twice. Brett’s most recent exit involved the successful sale of Sole Society to the Camuto Group, where he served as founder and chairman. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Homium, a leading SaaS provider revolutionizing the home equity space in real estate.
Brett holds a B.S. from Babson College with a concentration in entrepreneurial studies and finance.
Laurence Sotsky, Chief Executive Officer & Director
Laurence Sotsky is Incentify's CEO and oversees all business and technical operations. He is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience leading high-growth companies and driving innovation in the SaaS application sector. As an accomplished CEO, he has successfully built and managed high-performing organizations, has extensive international experience and has led three prior organizations to successful exits.
Before Incentify, Laurence was the CEO and Founder of Hopscotch, a venture-backed SaaS platform specializing in mobile application development for the sports and entertainment industry.
Recognized as a member of the SoCalTech 50, Laurence has made a significant impact on the Los Angeles technology community. He is an expert money raiser and frequent speaker. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he spent seven years in management consulting at Deloitte Consulting and Accenture, honing his expertise in business strategy and operational excellence.
Laurence holds dual degrees in Chemistry and Economics from Claremont McKenna College, where he graduated with honors. He currently resides in Manhattan Beach, California, with his fiance and family.
Nick Namikas, Chief Technology Officer
Nick specializes in developing secure, enterprise-grade SaaS cloud applications. At Incentify, he leads the technical strategy and implementation to support the functional and regulatory needs of global incentive portfolios for some of the world's largest companies.
Previously, he co-founded and led the development of a digital media asset management and editing platform (CitizenGlobal) utilized by hundreds of leading media companies, brands and public safety agencies. His work resulted in three USPTO patents related to data management and processing. In collaboration with Amazon Web Services and the LA County Sheriff's Department, he co-developed the LEEDIR Program, designed to rapidly collect and analyze eyewitness media during terrorist attacks and major emergencies.
Daniel Cox, Chief Financial Officer
Daniel Cox brings over a decade of experience and is responsible for financial management and overall operations at Incentify. After starting his career at Morgan Stanley, Daniel served in financial and operational roles at various FinTech companies.
Daniel holds a B.S. from The University of Tennessee with a concentration in finance.
Laurence Barral, Chief Product Officer
Laurence Barral is an experienced product executive currently leading product strategy and execution at Incentify, while also serving as Interim Chief Marketing Officer. She works closely with engineering and leads marketing efforts to continuously elevate the Incentify user experience and drive business growth.
Her expertise spans product vision, go-to-market strategy, user experience, product launches, customer research, strategic planning, and cross-functional team leadership. Laurence is also deeply passionate about coaching and mentoring the next generation of product talent.
Laurence holds two master’s degrees—one in Economics and one in Human Resources Information Systems—from Paris X and UCO Angers, France.
